Selective Insurance Company of America, through its MUSIC division, seeks an experienced underwriter to manage new business growth and support agents across a broad range of commercial risks. You will review complex submissions, price exposures, and work within authority, collaborating with general agents and renewal staff to drive profitability.

This role requires a valid driver's license, at least 3 years underwriting experience, and a college degree preferred, with a competitive base salary

Responsibilities

• Manage underwriting and drive new business growth within authority.
• Evaluate complex risk exposure and provide quotes.
• Ensure pricing accuracy and adherence to underwriting standards.
• Collaborate with General Agents and renewal staff to grow profitability.
• Communicate underwriting decisions to agents and stakeholders.
• Support agency partners with training and guidance.
• Maintain workflows to meet SLA for submissions and quotes.
