Job summary

Saicon in New York seeks a Senior Business Analyst to bridge business vision and IT delivery in the E&S insurance space. You will lead requirements gathering with underwriting, claims, and operations teams and translate needs into actionable specifications for IT teams.

You will drive end-to-end solutions, ensure regulatory alignment, mentor junior analysts, and support transformation projects migrating legacy systems to cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Senior Business Analyst in complex, regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of E&S insurance processes including underwriting and claims.
• Experience translating business needs into detailed functional specs and user stories.
• Familiarity with BPMN, UML and integration with third-party data providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering for complex E&S initiatives with stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with IT to design and deliver end-to-end solutions from concept to deployment.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory guidelines and underwriting practices.
• Conduct gap analyses and propose process improvements leveraging technology.
• Serve as SME on E&S products, rating, policy issuance, and claims workflows.
• Support testing by developing test cases and validating results.
• Contribute to transformation projects migrating legacy systems to cloud-based architectures.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to BA framework improvements.
