You will translate business needs into functional specs and user stories, partner with architects, ensure regulatory alignment, and mentor junior analysts while contributing to cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business analysis experience, with 7+ years in E&S insurance.
• Strong track record delivering IT solutions in regulated settings.
• Deep knowledge of E&S processes including underwriting, policy administration and claims.
• Proficient in elicitation, process modeling (BPMN/UML), and documentation.
• Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Transformation project experience migrating legacy systems to cloud.
• Familiarity with policy administration systems and rating engines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate tech to business language.
• Collaborative mindset; able to influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions with stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with IT architects and developers to design and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure solutions align with regulatory requirements, underwriting guidelines, and operational best practices in E&S.
• Conduct gap analyses and recommend process improvements leveraging technology.
• Serve as SME on E&S products, rating, policy issuance, and claims workflows.
• Support testing efforts by developing test cases and validating results.
• Contribute to transformation projects—migrating core systems to cloud-based architectures.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the analytics framework.
