Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Underwriter to identify, underwrite, and grow profitable E&O business sourced through wholesale distribution partners. This role offers remote or hybrid work within the United States, with autonomy and strong relationship-building with wholesale brokers.

Responsibilities include portfolio management, pricing analysis, and delivering value-added underwriting solutions while aligning with Hanover's profitability objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of E&O underwriting experience.
• Proven success in building agency relationships and driving profitable growth.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, pricing, and coverage analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite E&O business with wholesale distribution partners and deliver creative solutions.
• Establish territory and distribution plans to expand production and profitability.
• Maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers and distribution partners.
• Manage assigned E&O portfolio to meet GWP, profitability, retention, and growth goals.
• Collaborate with internal partners to drive portfolio and profit improvements.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities by partnering with other units.
