Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Underwriter to identify, underwrite, and grow profitable E&O business sourced through wholesale distribution partners. This exempt, full-time role may be remote or hybrid within the United States.

You will apply advanced underwriting expertise, build strong broker relationships, and drive portfolio growth while maintaining autonomy within an established authority framework.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of E&O underwriting experience.
• Proven success in building agency relationships and driving profitable growth.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, pricing, and coverage analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and grow profitable E&O business through wholesale channels.
• Develop territory and distribution plans with wholesale partners.
• Maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers and partners.
• Review portfolio metrics and identify growth opportunities.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage with brokers.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for service and profitability.
