Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Underwriter to identify, underwrite, and grow profitable E&O business sourced through wholesale distribution partners. This full-time role may be based remotely or in a hybrid arrangement anywhere within the United States.

You will apply advanced underwriting expertise, sales acumen, and market knowledge to deliver insurance solutions aligned with Hanover's profitability objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of E&O underwriting experience.
• Proven success in building agency relationships and driving profitable growth.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, pricing, and coverage analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and grow profitable E&O business sourced through wholesale distribution partners.
• Cultivate relationships with wholesale brokers to drive new business and portfolio growth.
• Provide underwriting guidance and market intelligence to wholesale partners.
• Manage an assigned E&O portfolio to achieve growth, retention, and profitability objectives.
• Collaborate with internal partners to drive portfolio improvements and cross-sell opportunities.
