Job summary

LJA Energy seeks a Sr. Project Engineer to lead Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control system designs for midstream oil & gas and public works projects.

You will mentor engineers and CAD staff, review electrical design drawings, and ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, API, and ISA standards while coordinating with clients and contractors to deliver high‑quality solutions. Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power systems.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering required.
• Strong understanding of NEC and its application to design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for multiple EIC projects ensuring NEC compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and CAD staff across midstream and public works sectors.
• Oversee design drawings, control schematics, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project managers to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Support proposal development, cost estimation, and business development initiatives.
• Lead small multidisciplinary teams and ensure QA of deliverables.
• Perform power system studies using ETAP/SKM for load flow and short-circuit analyses.
• Serve as technical point of contact with stakeholders throughout project lifecycle.
