Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior Discovery IT System Administrator to support electronic discovery tools and services within the Legal department. The role focuses on ensuring application availability, performance monitoring, and secure operation of critical servers and databases.

You will work with Relativity and other e-discovery platforms, coordinate with vendors, and contribute to architecture discussions while supporting cloud deployments and data migrations.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic discovery platforms and EDRM
• Strong Windows server admin and SQL Server management
• Ability to monitor, test, and optimize discovery applications
• Knowledge of security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and virtualization

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day availability of electronic discovery applications and related tools
• Administer and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Monitor and test application performance and coordinate fixes with vendors
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Assist in architecture discussions and technical design
• Liaise with vendors for product issues and drive resolution
• Develop and provide end-user training for discovery tools
• Support backend infrastructure, data migrations, and deployments
• Document as‑is architecture of legacy systems and translate requirements into technical specs
• Contribute to knowledge management with technical articles
• Support e-discovery tool implementation hosted in cloud environments
