Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior Discovery IT System Administrator to join the Legal department in a Full-Time role. The candidate will support electronic discovery tools, manage Windows Server and SQL Server environments, and coordinate with vendors on product issues.

The role requires strong experience in backend infrastructure, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and knowledge of EDRM. CGS offers a comprehensive benefits package and a career-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic discovery platforms and enterprise IT systems.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Familiarity with EDRM and legal tech tools is preferred.
• Proven ability to install, configure, and manage Windows Server and SQL Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day availability of electronic discovery applications and related tools.
• Administer and monitor systems; install, configure, test and maintain OS and applications.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and coordinate fixes with vendors and developers.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Assist architecture discussions and vendor liaison on product issues.
• Develop and provide training for end-users on e-discovery tools.
• Provide SME support for electronic discovery tools and knowledge management articles.
• Reverse engineer and document existing architecture; translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Support discovery application integration/migration activities.
• Contribute to Knowledge Management databases with technical articles.
• Have legal technology experience and knowledge of the EDRM.
• Assist in implementing e-discovery tools (Relativity, Veritas eDP) in cloud environments.
• Support backend infrastructure, data migrations, app installation and management.
• Install and manage Microsoft Server 2019/2022 and SQL Server 2019/2022.
• Operate cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, VMware) and related services.
• Manage relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server 2012+).
