Job summary

CGS Federal in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Discovery IT System Administrator to support electronic discovery applications and related tools across our legal accounts.

You will administer, monitor and secure systems, manage backups, and collaborate with vendors to implement fixes; experience with Relativity, Veritas eDiscovery, Microsoft Server 2019/2022, SQL Server 2019/2022, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day availability of electronic discovery applications and related tools.
• Administer and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure; install, configure, test and maintain OS, application software and system management tools.
• Monitor and test application performance for bottlenecks; identify solutions and work with vendors to implement fixes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Assist technical architecture design discussions; liaise with vendors on behalf of OGC to address product issues.
• Develop and provide training for end-users; provide general support and SME advice on electronic discovery tools and applications.
• Reverse engineer and document the as-is architecture of legacy applications or systems; translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Support discovery application integration/migration activities; contribute to Knowledge Management databases with technical articles.
• Have legal technology experience and knowledge of the EDRM; assist in implementing e-discovery tools (Relativity, Veritas eDP, or other review platforms).
• Have skills to support backend infrastructure, data migrations, application installation, management and configuration; operate and manage Microsoft server 2019/2022 and Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022; operate cloud tech including Azure and AWS; manage relational databases MySQL/SQL Server 2012+.
