Apex Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer 5 (Senior DSP Systems Engineer) for an onsite/hybrid role in El Segundo, CA. This contract position requires ownership of complex DSP subsystems, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and rigorous verification across the full development lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in electronic systems engineering, strong DSP expertise, MATLAB and DOORS experience, and exposure to ASIC/FPGA implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in electronic systems engineering preferred.
• 6+ years in signal processing or image processing.

Responsibilities

• Own a subsystem or payload through development, integration, testing and formal sell-off.
• Perform verification planning and execution across multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to performance and link budgets for communications systems.
