Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to support a leading client in El Segundo, CA. This onsite role focuses on designing advanced space-based satellite communication systems and leading DSP development.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering or related field, 1+ years in signal processing, and 5+ years in electronic systems engineering, with US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

US citizenship required; ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, physics, mathematics, data science or computer science.
1+ years of experience with signal processing and image processing.
5+ years of experience with electronic systems engineering.

Responsibilities

Design and develop next generation RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems.
Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures.
Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces in the development of communication digital payloads.
Develop performance and link budgets.
Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models.
Assist with conducting trade studies.
Develop prototype demonstrations on flight-like communication subsystem testbeds.
Support unit-level integration and performance simulations.
Support ASIC and FPGA level system design and verification.
Support hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs.
