Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Senior DSP FPGA/ASIC Engineer to design, develop, and implement signal processing algorithms on FPGA/ASIC platforms in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role emphasizes Simulink modeling, algorithm development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver advanced aerospace solutions.

You will work with hardware and software teams to optimize implementations, ensure performance targets, and mentor junior engineers while staying current with FPGA technologies

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement signal processing algorithms for FPGA or ASIC based systems.
• Model and simulate DSP workflows using Simulink.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and validate DSP algorithms.
• Optimize FPGA implementations to meet performance, power, and size constraints.
• Conduct system-level analysis and testing to ensure project requirements are met.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, potentially leading project design teams.
