Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Principal Electrical/Computer engineer to design, verify, and integrate high-performance ASICs and FPGAs for signal processing and information assurance on the Microelectronics Technology team. Onsite role requiring DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.

You will lead architecture and RTL design, oversee verification, and drive improvements in design flow while collaborating across cross-functional teams to meet aggressive program milestones.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• RTL coding and simulation in VHDL or Verilog.
• Digital circuit architecture, design tradeoffs, timing analysis and timing closure.
• Testbench development for RTL blocks using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
• Proficiency with ASIC/FPGA tools (e.g. Modelsim, Synplify, Quartus, Vivado).
• Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (Git, Subversion).

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and perform ASIC/FPGA digital architecture and design using RTL.
• Improve ASIC/FPGA design flow and tool practices.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for new programs.
• Provide technical leadership, planning, and status reporting for project teams.
