Job summary

AMETEK Programmable Power in San Diego seeks a firmware engineer to conceptualize, design, and develop firmware for DSP-based digital control systems in programmable AC & DC power products. You will implement control algorithms, validate performance, and work with hardware and system teams.

The role requires an Electrical/Electronics degree and 8 years in power-control for power supplies, plus expertise in Embedded C, assembly, SPI/I2C/CAN, and converter topologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Eng’g is required.
• 8 years of experience developing power control for power supply applications (DC-DC, PFC, grid-tied inverters).
• Experience with embedded C & assembly for real-time embedded systems.

DC-DC converters, PFC systems & grid-tied inverters); power electronics converter topologies (inc. AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC systems); Embedded C & Assembly language programming for real-time embedded systems; control peripherals (inc. ADCs, PWMs, DACs); and 6 yr comm protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C & CAN).
