Job summary

Capgemini, located in Palo Alto, seeks a Senior DSP & Audio Embedded Software Engineer to lead bring-up, integration, and validation of DSP and Safety Processor subsystems on the iRDK platform. The role requires 5+ years of embedded software experience with TI DSP platforms, strong C/C++, and hands-on hardware debugging.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Experience with TI DSP platforms (C7xxx, C66x) or equivalent.
• Proficient in real-time OS such as TI SYS/BIOS or FreeRTOS.
• Hands-on audio subsystem bring-up: ALSA, Audio HAL, I2S.
• Experience with safety-critical embedded systems and lockstep architectures.
• Strong C/C++ in bare-metal and RTOS environments.
• Proven hardware debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support bring-up and integration for DSP subsystem and Safety Processor on the iRDK platform.
• Own real-time audio pipeline: codec integration, Audio HAL, latency characterization.
• Integrate and validate safety-critical subsystems, including lockstep processing and safety monitors.
• Collaborate with DSP firmware, tools support, and technology partners to resolve challenges.
• Debug hardware/software integration issues impacting audio, DSP, and safety subsystem performance.
• Validate real-time performance and audio quality against criteria.
• Document DSP, audio, and safety status for program reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of embedded software development processes.
