Job summary

QuickCruit, Inc. in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer onsite to design and implement embedded software for DSP boards, including BSPs, device drivers and BIOS/U-Boot.

You will apply standard development processes, develop test software, and work with cross-functional teams to diagnose complex defects. The role requires self-direction and a focus on delivering robust, aerospace-grade embedded solutions.

Qualifications

• Embedded software experience for DSP-based boards.
• Familiarity with industrial, military, and aerospace standards preferred.
• Experience with bootloaders and device drivers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and test embedded computing software per specifications.
• Apply established development processes and help improve them.
• Develop test software and procedures.
• Implement and integrate bootloaders and device drivers for Linux and VxWorks.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced software defects with cross-functional teams.
