Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced DSP Engineer to define communication system architectures for high-performance ASIC-based products and to develop advanced DSP algorithms. You will focus on system-level design, create models with C and MATLAB, and drive the design from concept through implementation and verification in close collaboration with ASIC teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with DSP/communication focus.
• Experience designing DSP algorithms and PHY development.
• Strong C and MATLAB for model development.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end communication system architectures for ASIC-based products.
• Design and develop DSP algorithms for digital communications and PHY implementations.
• Create bit-accurate and fixed-point models using C and MATLAB.
• Develop simulation environments to evaluate system performance and validate decisions.
• Generate verification vectors for ASIC design and verification teams.
• Collaborate with ASIC teams to translate models into RTL and final ASIC designs.
• Support system-level verification by correlating models with RTL/ASIC.
• Define architecture specs, requirements, verification strategies, and test plans.
