Job summary

Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician to maintain and service drone aircraft at the commercial operation site. The role collaborates with engineering and flight operations to ensure airworthiness and safety.

The technician will train and mentor a team of Repair Technicians and manage parts and scheduling. Applicants should have 2+ years in mechanical/electrical integration, strong mentoring skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience.
• Experience guiding, training and mentoring others.
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel).
• Carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, and frequently push/pull/squat/bend/reach.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities.
• Own fleet performance metrics.
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory.
• Train and mentor other Repair Technicians.
• Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians.
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations.
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals.
