Job summary

Ford Motor Company’s Under Body Systems Engineering (UnSE) team in Product Development seeks an Automotive Driveline / Propulsion System Engineer. The role develops, integrates, and validates driveline systems for ICE, hybrid, and EV powertrains, collaborating across ICE, transmission, and electric vehicle domains.

You will lead cross-functional activities with suppliers, Manufacturing, and Program Management to ensure robust design and on-time launches.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of automotive system engineering experience.
Experience with ICE, manual, hybrid, and EV driveline applications.
Experience with EV powertrains including PDUs/SDUs/eBeams and HV battery interfaces.
Strong knowledge of transmissions, gears, differentials, clutches, and electric drives.
Experience with automotive suppliers and delivering technical deliverables.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Integrate driveline systems for ICE, hybrid, and EV architectures.
Lead development, validation, and launch support of driveline components and EVs.
Provide system-level support through all vehicle development phases.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure interfaces.
Manage technical reviews, sourcing, design reviews, and production readiness.
Track and resolve driveline performance, durability, and quality issues.
Support testing at bench, dyno, and vehicle levels.
