Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Electrified Powertrain EVSE D&R Engineer to own the design, release, packaging, and certification of EVSE for BEV/PHEV programs. The role involves collaboration with multiple teams and supplier partners to drive future product development in the growing field of vehicle electrification.

The position requires strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills, with responsibilities spanning from design reviews to PPAP and regulatory testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
• Experience with electrical component design and release across program phases.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAE methods and quality documentation (DVP&R, DFMEA).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead EVSE design, release, and testing for next generation electrified vehicles.
• Lead packaging and appearance design with supplier partner, including any necessary AAR.
• Coordinate features with Applications team and release core components in FEDE BOM and WERS.
• Manage CDS and DCR; participate in design reviews and worst-case circuit analysis.
• Support PPAP elements including MSA, control charts, and capability.
