Job summary

Continental Resources, Inc. is seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer to design and execute safe, cost-conscious drilling programs. You will work with the drilling manager, team leads, and supervisors to deliver strong, repeatable results.

The role requires leadership, strong technical judgment, and a commitment to safe operations at the well site. You will analyze performance, manage vendor relations, and guide cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of five (5) years of drilling experience with an independent or major oil company in a major horizontal unconventional basin.
• Pre-employment background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Design safe drilling plans with cost efficiency as a driver.
• Generate well designs and procedures with time and cost estimates.
• Assist daily planning and safe execution of operations with the drilling team.
• Analyze and improve drilling performance and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate vendor performance and new technology applications.
• Collaborate across asset team disciplines.
• Proactively seek better drilling methods and techniques.
• Manage varying workloads as rig activity changes.
• Display strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
