Job summary

Crescent Energy seeks a Senior Drilling Engineer in Houston to lead well design and the technical execution of drilling projects. You will prepare timelines, cost estimates, procedures, and oversee contractor coordination to optimize capital efficiency and minimize downtime.

The role requires collaboration with field and office teams, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and regulatory requirements while delivering cost-effective drilling programs and post-project analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Petroleum Engineering a plus.
• 5+ years of drilling operations experience with onshore exposure; unconventional experience helpful.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and optimizing capital efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project timelines, cost estimates, and procedures.
• Prepare AFE proposals and drilling procedures.
• Coordinate contractors to maximize capital efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Develop well plans for horizontal, directional, and vertical drilling.
• Provide leadership for safe, environmentally responsible drilling operations.
• Generate End of Well reports and review performance data.
