Job summary

Devon Energy is seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer to plan, design and document complex well drilling programs. You will administer contracts, plan operations and supervise on-site personnel to ensure safe, cost-effective drilling.

This role drives continuous improvement, mentors staff, and prepares estimated well costs and AFEs for all activities. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of relevant drilling experience, with Well Control Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant drilling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, and documents complex well drilling programs.
• Administers drilling/service contracts and on-site supervision.
• Prepares estimated drilling costs and AFE for activities.
• Mentors junior engineers and supports operation staff.
• Leads multi-project efforts with strong safety emphasis.
• Develops best practices to optimize drilling performance.
