Devon seeks a Senior Drilling Engineer to plan, design, and document complex well drilling programs. You will supervise operations on site, manage drilling contracts, and generate AFEs to optimize safety and cost-efficiency.

With 5+ years in drilling and a Well Control Certification, you will mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance across projects in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or commensurate work experience.
• 5+ years in drilling design, execution of wells, or related field.
• Well Control Certification and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Perform drilling engineering work applying complex techniques to design wells.
• Prepare technical recommendations with risk and value implications for leadership.
• Estimate drilling costs and generate AFEs for exploration, development, and remedial activity.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical assistance on site operations.
• Drive safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
• Plan multiple concurrent drilling projects and communicate effectively.
