Job summary

Crescent Energy Management LLC in Houston seeks a Sr. Drilling Engineer to work with the Vice President of Well Delivery on well design and technical execution of drilling projects.

This role will prepare project timelines, cost estimates, and procedures, review reports for accuracy, track costs, and participate in post-project analysis. You will interface with field and office staff and drive safety, efficiency, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum a plus).
• 5+ years drilling operations experience; 3+ years onshore.
• Unconventional drilling experience in multi-discipline teams.
• Experience working with multiple technical disciplines and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project timelines, cost estimates and procedures; track costs and verify invoices.
• Prepare AFE proposals and detailed drilling procedures.
• Coordinate multiple contractors to maximize capital efficiency and minimize spud-to-production time.
• Assume project management responsibilities and identify better work processes.
• Support development and execution of programs for non-critical and some critical operations.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop well plans and direct drilling operations in diverse regions; analyze data and optimize performance.
• Provide input on vendor pricing and obtain bids for capital drilling programs.
