Job summary

EOG Resources is seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer in Denver, CO to lead the design and execution of drilling programs, including vertical and horizontal wells. You will prepare AFEs, analyze performance and costs, and coordinate with G&G, Reservoir, and other groups to support division management and rig operations.

The candidate should have a BS in Engineering (Petroleum preferred), 3+ years in drilling engineering, strong leadership and communication skills, and solid computer abilities to

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering is required with preference for Petroleum Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of drilling engineering experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to organize and supervise field personnel.
• Experience with a wide range of drilling applications and sound decision making; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design vertical and horizontal wells, write AFEs, analyze drilling performance and costs.
• Collaborate with G&G, Reservoir, Completion, Land, Construction and Regulatory teams to support drilling programs and supervision of multiple rigs.
