Job summary

Crescent Energy seeks a Sr. Drilling Engineer to work with the VP of Well Delivery on well design and execution. You will prepare timelines, cost estimates, procedures, and participate in post-project analyses. You will lead field and office staff, manage budgets, and drive safe, compliant drilling programs across multiple basins.

The role requires strong leadership, technical communication, and a results-driven mindset to optimize capital efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of drilling operations experience, including onshore and multi-discipline teams.
• Experience collaborating with multiple technical disciplines.
• Practical training in risk analysis and cost management.
• Proficiency with reliability and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project timelines, cost estimates and procedures; review reports for accuracy.
• Prepare AFE proposals and detailed drilling procedures.
• Coordinate contractors to maximize capital efficiency and reduce drill time.
• Assume project management responsibilities and propose improved processes.
• Develop and execute programs for non-critical operations, ensure HSE compliance.
• Develop well plans for horizontal, directional and vertical drilling across geographies.
• Support bid analysis and pricing with the drilling team.
• Provide technical input for plans, policies and asset optimization.
• Generate End of Well reports and maintain professional knowledge.
