Job summary

EWI Recruitment seeks an experienced Drilled Shafts Superintendent to lead safe, efficient delivery of drilled shaft and deep foundation operations on major civil projects in Florida. You will oversee field activities from mobilisation through completion, coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials and site logistics.

Responsibilities include planning daily production, reviewing drawings and procedures, supervising drilling, casing, slurry, reinforcement and tremie concrete, plus

Qualifications

• Substantial experience supervising drilled shaft, caisson, piling, or comparable deep foundation operations.
• Strong knowledge of drilling methods, temporary and permanent casing, slurry systems, reinforcement installation, tremie concrete placement, and foundation testing.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and communicate effectively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily production, review drawings and installation procedures, set out work areas, and supervise drilling, casing, slurry management, reinforcement cage placement, concrete placement, testing, and shaft completion.
• Monitor productivity and quality, identify and resolve construction issues, maintain accurate daily records, and coordinate closely with project management, engineers, inspectors, surveyors, and client representatives.
• Lead toolbox talks, enforce site safety procedures, inspect equipment, manage changing ground conditions, and ensure environmental controls are followed. Support project scheduling and cost control.
