Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Principal Drainage Project Engineer based in the United States. This senior role leads drainage design and hydrologic analyses for major transportation infrastructure, coordinating with roadway, structures, environmental, and utilities teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• 15 years of progressive experience in roadway/highway drainage and hydrologic analysis.
• Experience leading drainage design for transportation infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with TDOT or similar DOT design standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage design for roadway, highway, interchange projects.
• Develop primary drainage systems: culverts, stormwater conveyance, channels, detention/retention facilities.
• Perform and review hydrologic/hydraulic analyses: watershed delineation, runoff, culvert analysis, open-channel flow.
• Prepare drainage plans, hydraulic reports, and supporting documentation.
• Establish technical approaches, standards, workflows, budgets, and schedules for drainage projects.
• Coordinate drainage with multidisciplinary teams and interfaces with clients.
• Support business development, proposals, and client relationships.
• Mentor engineers and staff; contribute to growing drainage practice.
