SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer to lead drainage design on highway and development projects. You will support the Drainage Associate Director, manage budgets and resources, and deliver technical outputs across feasibility to detail design stages.

The role involves coordinating with other disciplines and representing the team externally. You will develop the team, win work, and drive project performance with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery for diverse

Qualifications

• Civil engineering experience within a consultancy environment.
• Experience delivering surface/waste water drainage design and approvals.
• Knowledge of drainage design principles and adopting processes (Sewers for Adoption/Scotland).

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver drainage design packages for highway projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise delivery teams.
• Coordinate with disciplines and ensure design coordination.
• Direct technical outputs and project documentation.
• Take commercial responsibility and manage client relationships.
