Job summary

SR400 Constructors in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an experienced Drainage Foreman to supervise drainage crews on the SR400 Express Lanes Project. You will direct installation of storm drains, inlets, catch basins and related components on a long-term roadway construction program through 2031.

This role demands strong leadership, the ability to read plans, coordinate daily activities, maintain safety, and manage labor and material records to ensure accurate payroll and project cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in drainage or roadway construction.
• Experience supervising drainage crews and coordinating daily field activities.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead drainage crews during daily construction activities.
• Plan and assign daily work based on project schedules, pour schedules, and construction priorities.
• Monitor daily work progress and communicate updates to the Superintendent.
• Ensure drainage work is completed according to plans, specifications, schedule, and quality standards.
• Supervise the use of tools, machinery, and materials required for drainage operations.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
• Assist the Superintendent with daily reports, work progress, and safety information.
• Maintain accurate daily control of labor hours, heavy equipment utilization, material deliveries, and inventory for job costing and payroll.
• Work alongside the crew laying, bedding and joining storm drain pipe to line and grade.
• Set and level drainage structures and make pipe connections by hand.
• Place and compact bedding and backfill around pipe and structures using hand tools and equipment.
