Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Drainage Engineer / Project Manager to lead drainage and flood control projects within our Drainage Transportation Team. The role focuses on detailed hydraulics design, QA/QC, and coordinating with clients and agencies to deliver high-quality transportation drainage solutions.

The ideal candidate brings PE licensure, strong communication and leadership skills, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
• 5–15+ years in hydraulics design for drainage/roadway projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage local flood control projects and related drainage analyses.
• Prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Interface with federal, state, and local agencies and manage stakeholder relations.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance with DOT guidelines and industry standards.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with sub-consultants to meet deadlines and budgets.
