Job summary

Horrocks Engineers is seeking a Professional Engineer to lead drainage and hydraulics work for transportation projects. You will design, analyze, and coordinate drainage facilities for roads and bridges, interacting with clients and agencies to ensure project success.

The role requires strong communication, leadership of technical teams, and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and budgets on multi-discipline projects. A PE license and Utah experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• PE licensure is required.
• 8-12 years hydraulics design experience for transportation projects.
• Experience with DOT drainage criteria and multi-discipline coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrology and hydraulic design for DOT projects (bridges, roadways, highways).
• Prepare studies, plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, technicians, and clients.
• Interface with state and local agencies and stakeholders.
• Meet project deadlines and manage budgets.
