Job summary

Egis is seeking a senior drainage engineer to lead highway and interstate drainage projects in the U.S. You will perform calculations, develop designs, and prepare reports while coordinating with FDOT and sub-consultants to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires a Florida PE, 8+ years of drainage experience, and proficiency in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, ICPR v3/v4, and related stormwater tools. Collaboration with a nationwide team is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of drainage design experience required.
• Florida PE is required.
• FDOT drainage design experience with competence in Microstation, Open Roads Designer, ICPR v3/v4, ASAD, and other stormwater modeling software

Responsibilities

• Develop drainage and stormwater improvement projects for highways and interstates.
• Perform drainage engineering calculations from preliminary to final design.
• Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project staff, FDOT reviewers, and sub-consultants to ensure quality.
• Manage project documentation, schedules, budgets, and scope.
• Cultivate client relationships and assist in business development.
• Lead or assist in proposals, scope of work, and fee schedules.
• Attend client meetings across North Carolina.
