Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland seeks an Associate to lead highways, development infrastructure design and delivery. You will manage and mentor a team, oversee technical outputs, budgets and schedules, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes for clients across local and strategic networks.

The role involves developing feasibility through detailed design, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting business development and client relations in a hybrid working

Qualifications

Substantial experience in the Highways/Development Infrastructure sector.
Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
Chartered status preferred (ICE or CIHT).
Experience leading design teams on highway projects.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead designs on mid-large scale highway projects.
Coordinate with disciplines and prepare outputs (drawings, specs, estimates).
Maintain financial, technical and project management control of civil engineering works.
Line manage up to 6 engineers/technicians; develop and retain talent.
Ensure compliance with standards (DMRB, MCHW, MfS, TSM).
Prepare fee proposals and support client relationships.
