Job summary

Egis Ireland is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to lead drainage design on major civil projects, delivering robust surface water and flood risk solutions with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You will tackle pipework, channels, attenuation, culvert design to CIRIA guidance, and OPW Section 50 processes, while applying DMURS and SuDS knowledge.

The role supports flexible site bases in Dublin, Cork, Castlebar or Limerick and offers impactful career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in drainage network design including pipework, surface water channels, gullies and attenuation systems.
• Experience in flow estimation and catchment analysis.
• Culvert design to CIRIA guidance and OPW Section 50 applications.
• Knowledge of TII drainage publications and Dublin regional code; DMURS and SuDS knowledge.
• Proficiency with MicroDrainage, HEC-RAS and CulvertMaster.

Responsibilities

• Act as drainage lead on projects and provide updates to Clients.
• Provide guidance to junior staff where necessary.
• Design drainage systems per TII/DMURS, including pipework and attenuation.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to meet project requirements.
