Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Senior Engineering Specialist - Drafting in Washington state to lead complex drafting tasks using AutoCAD and AUD. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, with a possible extension to 8+ years, and involves coordinating with customers and internal teams to deliver comprehensive engineering plans and studies.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent certificate in design or pre-engineering is required or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and AUD for drafting and design is expected.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and direct engineering plans, designs, specifications, and standards.
• Lead and mentor drafting staff and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to gather requirements and report progress.
• Develop studies to identify objectives and investment levels for programs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes and regulations and ensure documentation.
• Support emergency response and restoration efforts as needed.
