Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Bothell, WA is seeking a Process and Mechanical Drafter to join the Power and Industrial Engineering Group. You will prepare GA, PFDs, P&IDs and draft using AutoCAD 2D/Plant 3D or Revit to meet project requirements.

The role requires a two-year mechanical degree and 10+ years in engineering design, with proficiency in CAD tools and the ability to work independently within a team. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in mechanical discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in an engineering design firm.
• Experience with power plant design (simple cycle, combined cycle, nuclear, etc.), is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of documentation and document control procedures.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision upon assignment of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare General Arrangements (GAs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and P&IDs under the direction of the process engineer.
• Perform drafting work using AutoCAD 2D and Plant 3D, or Revit (per project requirements).
• Utilize AutoCad Plant3D toolset, catalog piping, valve, and instrumentation information for reporting purposes.
• Check vendor and other discipline drawings against own or other designed work for correctness.
• Provide information to other drafters/designers on interface requirements.
