Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Senior Project Manager specialized in civil transportation projects for DOT clients. You will lead complex projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and DOT compliance.

You will act as the primary client contact, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors to deliver high-quality work. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, scheduling and regulatory knowledge, with frequent field travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• PE license preferred or equivalent DOT civil construction management experience.
• 5+ years of project management on DOT or heavy civil transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and closeout of DOT civil construction projects, including paving, concrete, and roadway works.
• Develop, manage and communicate project schedules, budgets and forecasts; track cost performance and profitability.
• Serve as primary client and DOT interface; ensure compliance with DOT standards and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and manage contract documents, change orders, claims, and correspondence; negotiate with clients and subcontractors as needed.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and on-site teams for safety, quality and efficiency.
• Implement QA/QC and safety programs; ensure OSHA compliance.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans and resolve issues.
• Produce progress reports, meeting minutes, payment apps, closeout docs.
• Mentor junior staff; promote best practices and continuous improvement.
• Support estimating and pre-construction activities; conduct constructability reviews and VE.
• Engage in public outreach and stakeholder coordination when projects intersect with communities.
