Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is seeking a Senior Donations Driver & Training Coordinator to manage driver training, onboarding, and scheduling across the service area. You will operate 16–26 ft trucks, pick up and deliver donated items, and mentor the Driver team.

You will report to work at Wendover ReStore or Mooresville ReStore, with travel through Mecklenburg and southern Iredell counties. The role emphasizes safety, policy adherence, and exceptional donor service.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to report to locations within the entire service area as scheduled by manager.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Dependable transportation to and from work.
• Knowledgeable about Habitat’s policies and customer-related guidelines.
• Experience driving 16–26 ft straight trucks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and onboarding new Donations Drivers.
• Lead training and development for drivers and riders.
• Conduct driver road tests and certifications.
• Review driver performance and alignment with standards.
• Communicate truck maintenance and supply needs to Logistics Manager.
• Coordinate daily driver huddles and routing for efficiency.
• Ensure donations are picked up as per schedule.
• Interact courteously with donors and provide receipt records.
• Evaluate donated items against ReStore standards.
• Maintain professional Habitat Charlotte Region image and teamwork.
