Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Journeyman Systems Integration Engineer at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH. The role requires applying DoD directives, providing system and subsystem engineering, and guiding integration of sensors, avionics, and survivability tech for airborne weapons systems.

You will develop performance requirements, estimate resources, coordinate design changes, perform analyses, and prepare briefings and technical reports for government review, while leveraging DOORS/RSA tools and DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a related field with 3+ years experience, 3 in the DoD.
• GED with at least 2 years in the DoD-related role.
• 7+ years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 5 in the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Apply DoDD 5000.1 and 5000.2R to all SOF acquisition engineering tasks.
• Provide systems and subsystems engineering and advisory support for sensors, avionics, and survivability.
• Develop system performance requirements and estimate resources for design and support.
• Coordinate design changes, recommend engineering approaches, and manage performance/cost
• Perform complex analyses to determine objectives and integration issues.
• Assist in DOORS/RSA-based requirements development and documentation.
• Support propulsion system development, OSS&E, MIL-HDBK 516 guidance and airworthiness.
• Prepare briefings, technical reports, and presentations for government reviews.
