Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Journeyman Systems Integration Engineer to join the Wright-Patterson AFB team in Dayton, OH. The role focuses on applying DoD directives, performing system integration tasks, and providing engineering advisory support across a range of avionics and defense systems.

The engineer will contribute to system performance definitions, trades, and risk analyses, while preparing briefings and documentation for government reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with DoD experience as required.
• GED with 2 years DoD experience as an alternative.
• 7 years directly related DoD experience with proper certifications.

Responsibilities

• Apply DoDD 5000.1/DoDD 5000.2R and HQ AFMC/AFLCMC policies to SOF acquisition engineering tasks.
• Provide advisory support for system concepts and trade-off studies for designs.
• Assist in developing system performance requirements and estimates of resources for design and support.
• Prepare briefings and technical reports for program reviews and decision making.
• Perform OSS&E analyses and airworthiness determinations per MIL-HDBK 516.
