Position Summary

Odyssey is recruiting Electrical/Avionics Systems Engineering Support candidates to support the Special Operations Forces and Personnel Recovery Division (AFLCMC/WIS) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The role supports a $22 billion acquisition portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and document projects.
  • Determine necessary changes or modifications to production methods, procedures, and approaches.
  • Document system requirements.
  • Evaluate procedures and use innovative techniques and methods to achieve goals.
  • Support engineering reviews and panels, develop evaluations and technical justifications of feasibility, practicability, and technical soundness, recognizing priorities and urgency; may include the use or development of computer‑aided engineering and analysis tools.
  • Develop, execute, and review policies, processes, and procedures of a special or miscellaneous character that may span multiple engineering disciplines and require application of fundamental knowledge.
  • Participate in special projects/initiatives, prepare oral and written reports, present briefings and develop technical reports to document progress and results, prepare management reports, and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action.
  • Perform airworthiness determinations, prepare Military Flight Release (MFR) and Modification Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC) development, and conduct reportability determinations per the latest Military Handbook (MIL‑HDBK) 516.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Clearance: Secret.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (ABET accredited program preferred).
  • Three (3) or more years of engineering experience in a relevant functional area with at least two (2) years in avionics, software or test for the DoD.
Additional Information

Location: Dayton, Ohio (Onsite). Travel: 10%.

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
