Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a SME Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at Wright Patterson AFB, OH, focusing on developing and sustaining DoD software capabilities. The role emphasizes CI/CD, DevSecOps, and MBSE, with involvement in technical evaluations and contractor collaboration.

The candidate must have an active TS/SCI eligible security posture and extensive DoD software experience, enabling delivery of mission-critical systems in a classified environment.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET clearance with ability to obtain SCI access.
• Master's degree in engineering with 20+ years relevant DoD experience.
• Minimum 3 years of SAP or SCI experience within the last 5 years.
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee software architecture of prime DoD contractors implementing CI/CD for prototypes and aircraft systems.
• Assess interfaces between software, firmware, and hardware.
• Participate in software-centric reviews and transition efforts to CI/CD.
• Translate requirements using MBSE to contract system documents and improve traceability.
• Analyze software performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Audit contractors for software configuration and quality accreditation.
• Review system software architecture and interoperability requirements.
• Evaluate test plans and participate in system/subsystem/component testing.
• Provide technical feedback, develop briefs, and perform contractor evaluations.
• Interface with contractors and Government representatives on software activities.
• Assess AFRL technology initiatives to guide investments and transition strategies.
• Develop RFP technical documents and conduct contractor evaluations.
