Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to advance digital hardware for DoD sensing technology in the Syracuse area. You will design and integrate high-speed digital systems, Xilinx FPGA solutions, and robust testable circuits with a cross-functional team.

Requires hands-on lab experience, VHDL/Verilog expertise, and a 5+ year track record in FPGA and digital hardware design, with U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
• Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
• Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, DSP, and communication architectures.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
