Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), SME to support mission-critical DoD environments. You will design, implement, and maintain security solutions for classified networks and systems, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets supporting U.S.

Space Force missions. As a cybersecurity SME, you will collaborate with government stakeholders, lead RMF processes, assess risk, and provide recommendations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• 15+ years of DoD/IC cybersecurity or systems security engineering experience
• Extensive RMF implementation and management experience
• Strong knowledge of NIST, DoD, DAF and IC cybersecurity policies and practices
• Experience with classified networks, systems and mission environments
• Experience developing security architectures and supporting ATO activities

Responsibilities

• Provide expert cybersecurity engineering and strategic guidance for DoD and Space Force programs
• Lead design, implementation, and assessment of cybersecurity solutions
• Support integration of security controls across classified systems and networks
• Ensure RMF, NIST, and IC policy compliance for cybersecurity activities
• Conduct risk assessments, program reviews, and remediation planning
• Coordinate with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to meet security objectives
• Track action items and deliver technical findings to leadership
