Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), SME to support mission-critical operations within classified DoD environments.

You will design, implement, and maintain security solutions that protect DoD/Space Force networks, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical information assets. Responsible for RMF compliance, risk management, and collaboration with government stakeholders to meet security objectives.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 15+ years in DoD/IC cybersecurity."
• Experience implementing RMF processes and ATO activities.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, DoD, DAF, and IC cybersecurity standards.
• Experience protecting classified networks and mission systems.
• Proven leadership as a cybersecurity SME.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert cybersecurity engineering support for DoD/Space Force programs.
• Lead design, implementation, and assessment of cybersecurity solutions across classified systems.
• Ensure RMF, NIST, DoD and IC compliance; support risk management.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and engineers to integrate security controls.
• Prepare technical findings and recommendations for senior leadership.
