Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to provide cybersecurity engineering across IA programs for DoD/IC systems. You will integrate security controls, support RMF/A&A and prepare SSPs, SAPs, SARs and POA&M artifacts.

This role requires a TS/SCI clearance, strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and related CNSSI guidance, and the ability to operate in high-compliance, mission-critical environments in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• 5+ years of information assurance, cybersecurity engineering, or A&A experience for DoD/IC.
• Experience with RMF and ICD 503 C&A activities.
• Proficient in creating SSPs, SAPs, SARs, and POA&Ms.
• Familiarity with classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity engineering support for engineering and operational network solutions.
• Ensure compliance with IA and cybersecurity requirements mandated by ICD 503, DoD RMF, NIST and CNSSI publications.
• Support and prepare A&A documentation, artifacts, and procedures (SSP, SAP, SAR, POA&M).
• Engineer and implement security controls in alignment with NIST SP 800-53.
• Interface with IA teams and government security representatives.
• Support certification and accreditation activities under ICD 503.
