Job summary

Odyssey Consulting seeks an SE-4 Cybersecurity Penetration Tester to support the 48th Cyberspace Test Squadron under the TMAS III contract at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs.

The role involves leading independent testing, developing DoD-focused strategies, and guiding penetration test teams across Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments, with exposure to DoD programs and complex security analyses.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, computer science, IT systems, or related technical discipline plus 10+ years of experience.
• Obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification within 6 months of hire and maintain it.
• Experience with penetration testing tools and methods.
• Experience exploiting web applications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct independent penetration testing, including data collection, test automation, and reporting.
• Develop penetration testing tools and strategies tailored for DoD cybersecurity assessments.
• Perform system security analysis to identify vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques across software and hardware systems.
• Execute hands-on testing across Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments.
• Test software and databases including SQL Server, Oracle, and Apache.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to penetration test teams.
• Document and communicate test results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage, plan, and direct CVI, ACD, CVPA, and AA cyber test teams.
• Interface with DoD Program Offices to scope, plan, execute, and report penetration test activities.
